Get before and after exercising.
When you eat protein before and after weight training, you blunt the effects of cortisol, the stress hormone that tells your body to store fat.
Result: You burn more fat not only during your workout but also up to an additional 24 hours afterwards!
Your plan: eat a snack that contains carbs and protein 30-60 minutes before you workout (ie. Peanut butter sandwich) and one protein-rich snack immediately after workout. The best is a protein shake within 15minutes, most gyms and studios (ie. Girlification Fitness Studio) sale protein shakes.
Remember: give your body fuel for the workout, you'll burn away fat. If there's no fuel, you'll burn away muscle---and that'll just make you more fat :(
