Some Facts on Fats

' Coconut oil is another excellent fat that helps in the absorption of amino acids, calcium and magnesium.  It also boosts the immune response, helps you lose weight and improves digestion.

It's great for cooking over high heat because it doesn't oxidize like other cooking oils.  The other great oil is cold-pressed extra-virgin oil, which helps prevent heart disease, diabetes, colon cancer and atheroscierosis.

Another healthy fat on the list is nuts.  Nuts are also heart protectors as they contain essential fatty acids.  They also have anti-inflammatory properties.  Add them to salads, smoothies and eat as a healthy snack. The raw versions contain the most nutrients. '
