Infrared Saunas have tons of healthy benefits
Why so beneficial? Beyond, the wonderful stress relief from the relaxation
time, infrared heat is able to penetrate muscle tissue more than 1 ½ inches (40
mm), which raises our core body temperature and causes us to produce a deeper
sweat.
Stress Relief & Relaxation
We all experience stress in our daily lives – some more than others. But
did you know that stress is a major contributor to many of today’s leading
health concerns, including cardiovascular disease and cancer? That’s why it is
so important to find ways to relax and unwind. In just 15-30 minutes in a
infrared sauna can help rebalance your body and mind to lower your stress
levels… So imagine the benefits if you do it on a regular basis.
Pain Relief
When you’ve got muscle pain, you may automatically reach for something warm
to apply – like a heating pad – especially if you want natural relief without
the side effects of medications. But these solutions don’t often give you the
real therapeutic comfort you need. An infrared sauna, however, offers faster
relief because the heat is deep penetrating. It dilates your blood vessels so
they can deliver oxygen-rich blood to soft injured tissue and carry away
metabolic waste more effectively. Something a heating pad just can’t do.
Heat Therapy Scientifically Supported
In many parts of the world, including Europe and Japan, saunas have long
been an accepted treatment for: Arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, back pain,
sprains, bursitis, fibromyalgia, headache, stiffness associated with aging and
countless other physical conditions.
Lower Blood Pressure
Infrared saunas lower blood pressure by increasing your core body
temperature, which increases your heart rate, thereby helping to improve blood
vessel function and stabilize blood flow in the body.
This is one of the most important, most vital benefits of infrared
saunas. Recent clinical research suggests that a-30 minute infrared sauna
session three times a week is all it takes to help lower blood pressure and help
prevent arteriosclerosis. This is especially reassuring since high blood
pressure, also known as hypertension, is the most common form of cardiovascular
disease in North America – and is even referred to as “the silent
killer”.
Stronger Immune System
Whether you feel a cold coming on or simply want to maintain overall good
health, you can give your body a better fighting chance just by relaxing in your
own infrared sauna.
As your core temperature increases, it simulates a fever. Your body
naturally wants to fight the fever, which jumpstarts and strengthens your immune
system. At the same time, your body is producing sweat and eliminating harmful
toxins. The result is greater resistance to disease and a heightened sense of
wellness – all the time.
Skin Purification
Infrared light occurs naturally in the sun’s invisible spectrum and has the
ability to penetrate the deeper layers of the epidermis. Unlike the sun’s
harmful UV rays, however, infrared is actually good for your skin – whether you
want the benefits of a beauty treatment or therapeutic treatment.
Infrared heat assists in cell replacement and helps to develop and maintain
the body’s capillary network. As blood flow increases at the surface of your
skin, texture and tone is noticeably improved.
Infrared Beauty Treatment
Get that just-from-the-spa glow every day. Not only does the intense
sweating cleanse your skin by eliminating the build up of toxins and pollutants,
but it helps to reduce the look of wrinkles and improves skin elasticity.
Infrared Therapeutic Treatment
With deep penetrating heat and increased blood circulation, an infrared
sauna can also provide faster, more effective alleviation of a number of medical
skin conditions, including: acne, eczema, psoriasis,
burns, lesions, cuts, scars.
Infrared Cellulite Treatment
Why do European women look so slim and beautiful? What’s their secret?
Maybe their beauty specialists often incorporate infrared sauna sessions in
their cellulite-reduction programs.
There is evidence to support that the infrared heat can break down and
release stored fat and toxins through the skin, so the look of cellulite is
reduced and skin is visibly smoother.
Weight Loss
Although nothing should ever replace exercise and healthy eating, infrared
saunas can safely help with weight loss control. Above and beyond the water you
sweat out as a result of the intense heat, your body burns calories to produce
your sweat – about 300 - 500 calories in a 30-minute sauna session. That’s the
equivalent of a 10 km run!
What’s more, burning more calories can boost your metabolic rate, which
helps burn calories more quickly during normal, everyday activities, even after
your sauna!
Detoxification
There is an increased awareness and growing concern for the toxins that
many experts say accumulate in our bodies. But with all of the extreme cleansing
diets, pills and other concoctions on the markets, we often don’t know what is
actually good for us.
Is there a gentle, more soothing way to detoxify? Yes! Infrared saunas.
Infrared saunas promote sweating to cleanse the body and stay healthy.
And nothing could be more natural than sweating.
In fact, according to scientific analysis’, the sweat produced from
infrared heat contains 5-6 times more toxins, fat and impurities like metabolic
wastes, heavy metals, city pollution, etc. than normal sweat. Studies also show
that sweat from infrared is 80-85% water, with the remaining 15-20% composed
mostly of undesirable elements. In a conventional sauna, on the other hand,
95-97% of the sweat is water and a mere 3-5% is toxins.

What is Infrared?
Increasing temperature
for a better body detoxification
Infrared radiation is an electromagnetic radiation wavelength that is
higher than that of visible light, but shorter than that of the microwaves. This
radiation has the capacity to penetrate deep into your skin and increase your
body’s core temperature for a more detoxifying sweat.
But don’t worry – it’s perfectly safe. In fact, it’s the same technology
that hospitals use in incubators to keep infants warm. So relax and enjoy the
warmth.
Infrared Sauna vs. Traditional Saunas
Traditional vapor/rock saunas use an indirect energy source to create heat.
Initially, convection (air flow) and secondly, conduction (direct contact of hot
air on our skin).
Given the way they heat (convection VS infrared), our infrared saunas are
also so much more comfortable.
With an infrared sauna, however, less than 20% of the energy is used to
heat the air molecules, thereby releasing 80% of the infrared energy for direct
contact with the body. Heat therefore penetrates the body more deeply,
causing a fundamental increase in overall body temperature, resulting in a
higher level of detoxification. This difference explains the many unique health
benefits of infrared saunas.
Given the way they heat (convection VS infrared), our infrared saunas are
also so much more comfortable. A traditional sauna tends to heat between 76 and
88 degrees Celsius (169-190 degrees Fahrenheit), while an infrared sauna only
heats between 42 and 54 degrees Celsius (107-140 degrees Fahrenheit). The lower
temperatures mean the heat is not as stifling or overwhelming, so you feel
comfortable and can stay longer to get the most health benefits from the
sauna.
